Crop Rotation looking for volunteer developer (taken)

Post by Koocy »

Hello, good people

I hope it is ok for me to post this here, the BGA confirmation email told me to maybe give this a try :)

I'm Jan, a hobby game designer from Germany, and I'm looking for a developer for my recently submitted game Crop Rotation.
https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/446 ... p-rotation
It's an in-hand set collection card game for 2 players (consisting of only 36 cards, so I think the implementation should be rather straight-forward?) that started out as an entry in a BGG design contest in which was voted #1 multiplayer game.

I would be very happy to see it on BGA and have it available for a wider audience so if you are interested, you are very welcome to get in touch to discuss all the details =)
My contact email is info@jsspiele.de

Thank you very much and happy holidays
Jan

Hello Jan,
One of the first questions you could be asked here is "is this a paid or a free project?". It might significantly reduce or increase the amount of developers interested.
Thanks!

Hi KuWizard,

thanks for the advice, I thought this info would coincide with the free/premium status for the game.

Since I am a one-man operation doing this as a hobby and already had to cover the costs for art, I'm afraid I will have to rely on someone's kindness to tackle this as a free project.
But that of course also means that there won't be any strict deadlines to meet so whoever chooses to accept this out of pure goodwill could do it completely in their own time.

Sorry for the slip-up.

Cheers
Jan

Absolutely not. I've done freelancer projects for publishers who wish the game to remain free. Meanwhile, a publisher can choose to make a game premium at any time without regard to how the game was programmed.

Best of luck finding a volunteer. Many projects find good-hearted volunteers looking to get their feet in the door by starting someone. A few of those projects even make it to completion after the volunteers realize the full time commitment of what they've started.

Noted, thank you very much for the explanation and the wishes.

I also saw your response in another thread and updated the title to include this info.

Cheers

First of all, a big thank you to everyone who checked out this thread and especially to the kind souls who offered to take on this project out of pure good-will.

I'm happy to announce that I found a developer here who is currently working on the implementation :D

And a Happy New Year to all of you!
