Looking for a volunteer developer for "Archivarium" - a tense two-player dice dueler (taken)

Post by Pokshtya »

Hello BGA developers!

I am the designer of Archivarium, a fast-paced, two-player abstract dice game, and I am looking for a developer interested in bringing it to the platform.

In Archivarium, players are rival archivists battling for control of a crumbling library. You roll dice (representing Scrolls), immediately form groups (Archives), and decide: push your luck for safety or stop and strike. The unique twist: any leftover die becomes a Key, which can instantly capture your opponent's entire matching archive.

• Player Count: 2

• Playtime: 5-20 minutes

• Core Mechanics: Dice Rolling, Push Your Luck, Set Collection, Direct Conflict / "Take That"

• Perfect for Digital: No hidden information, clear game states, and ideal for async play.

The game creates incredible tension and dramatic "comeback" moments. It's easy to learn but offers deep strategic decisions about risk management and timing your attack.

I have already licensed the game to BGA, so it is officially in the system and ready for a developer to pick up.

If you are interested in developing a game with high player interaction, quick turns, and a lot of drama, please reach out! I would be happy to discuss how we can bring Archivarium to life on BGA.

Thank you for your consideration!

Hello Vadrya,
One of the first questions you could be asked here is "is this a paid or a free project?". It might significantly reduce or increase the amount of developers interested.
Thanks!

Thank you for your interest!
This is a non-commercial, passion project. I do not seek any financial compensation or royalties for the adaptation on BGA. My primary goal is to see my game come to life on a great digital platform and reach a wider audience of players who enjoy abstract strategy and tense dice duels.

Let me put it more directly. Are you going to pay the developer?

The questions isn't whether you're hoping to monetize your game, but whether you've budgeted to pay a developer to commit dozens (or hundreds, in many cases) of hours to programming it for you. Alternatively, are you hoping someone volunteers to do it for free and sees it through to completion? If that's the case, you might modify the title to "Looking for a volunteer developer for Archivarium".
