Thank you all for joining "The Circle" tournament! Lots of high rollers in this one and there's some fun stats along with it. Congrats to RPeter22 for winning all 14 of their games!!

Previous Tournament Stats (The Round)

With 15 players, we had 105 games. 11 of those games ended in a non-natural way (timeout or giving up), leaving us with 94 games that we can reliable take data from.

The logs don't show this but Paths were chosen randomly and we were on B (async) side, same as The Turnaround.

Average score by Player:
LilyOfValleys managed to pull away with the highest score of 86.36 overall, then Oblividan with 83.57, and RPeter having 83.43. I imagine RPeter22 never getting to an era 7 game would account for this, but winning is all that matters.

High Scores:
GaianeK and Lily both had a 110 game, and Oblividan had a 106 game, all needing to go to era 7.
The highest score in games ended in era 6 goes to LilyOfValleys with 100, 99, 99 games.
Highest score in era 5 still goes to Lily with 79, RPeter22 had a 76, and caselli/Sir Beaverton had a 70 point game.

Game Ended in Era X scores:
Similar to last time, You can expect around +18 points between era 5 and 6, with an additional +7 for era 7.

              | player 2 | 76.53 (σ 14.81)
BUT Player 1 seems to run away with games in era 5 &6, but Player 2 bounces back in era 7. Overall, player 1 winrate is around 57%, seemingly giving you a good advantage, but at least Player 2 can recover in era 7.

Average Score by Faction:
Very very consistent scores across the board here, which is fantastic!

Salvation | 70.62 (σ 17.87) | 16.98 (σ 8.15)
So consistent that I wanted to delve deeper and go by leader as well. Unsurprising to me, Haulani is at the bottom, but still overall these are all very consistent in my eyes.

Buildings:
These buildings were the top 5 win rates. It's worth noting that 307/308 were built in 91 out of 94 games. The math gets a little wonky there because technically 307 could be built by winner, then 308 built by loser, but still love seeing 113 being at the top here.

Super Projects:
This is ALL superprojects sorted by win rate. These are much more specific to games, but I am surprised to see Neutronium Research Center with 0 wins. But Temporal tourism continues to be a great building.

Unsurprisingly, if you are taking more actions, you end up winning more often, some actions much more drastically than others. Who would have guessed that good management and good engines win games *shrug*

I'd love to hear what you think of this!
Is there a stat you think is missing?
What did RPeter do to win in your game?

Thanks for posting these stats! I did not play in this particular tournament but I am gearing up for one on the 10th. I hope it’s okay to ask a few questions.

1. Does “Player 1” refer to the player to go 1st in Era 1? Or something else?
2. What is the average evacuation Era? I’m guessing Era 5 given the average evacuation points.
3. What is the average number of anomalies remaining at end game?
4. On the last chart, Actions, I don’t see the Trade action listed. Can you add that?

Thanks again!

Oh wow, I did not see this message for far too long!

1. Player 1 refers to who goes first in round 1. Seat 1 maybe is the better way to say that
2. I'll definitely be looking into that in the future!
3. Anomalies I will also add to my future tasks!
4. Definitely will do!
