Skill Level

Is there a way to see someone's skill level before playing a game? I am pre-beginner and don't feel that i would learn much playing a good player, nor would I be much fun for them.

Click a game on the left. Then under the JOIN button on the right, click the player's name (or maybe hover over it, I forget). You'll see their level. I don't think there are Elo number ratings for Chess on BGA.
