I just had someone concede during my very last turn, when I was just about to win. So I couldn’t even play, the game ended and I can’t even see what the end screen would have been if we finished. It seems very rude to me, like getting up and walking away in a fit because I’m going to win.. while also denying me the satisfaction of placing my last card? What is the point of allowing this?

That's a great way to describe how it comes off when a game is conceded in that situation, haha.

sometimes people do things we don't like sorry

doing something to stop people from conceding with one move to go is like doing something to stop yall from going on and on about it

it's not the right thing to do

Sorry, still off-topic.

It is meaningless that you, as a bad player at that game (by your own admission), do not see the value in those statistics. And that was just one example. Other more famous games have made modifications made as a result of detailed statistical analysis by strong and elite players.
Well, the exemples that you gave to me were trivial. I don't believe you that anyone can get useful information out of them (and that has nothing to do with the skill of the person which sees the statistics and tries to get useful information out of it).
2) What was the point of your mentioning that you are working in the field of statistics? That does not make your opinions any more or less valid. You seem to believe that statistics in general for BGA games can never have any usefulness. This is what you have made clear to be your opinion from the beginning, and why I was hesitant to waste my time giving you a list.
I guess that there are games where the statistics provided by BGA can be useful to learn better tactics or even find "broken" games (in the sense that there is a dominant strategy). I still believe that EARTH (like many other games mentioned in one of my previous posts) has to many differents cards and to many interactions between these for it to be helpful to count how many actions of each type you have performed.
Sure enough, I wasted my time giving you a list after you berated me for not doing so, and you responded with the exact dismissiveness I expected.
At least i learned that i'm not missing anything if i can't acced at these countings.
I have a background in statistics as well. I did not mention it earlier because it's not relevant to this discussion. The fact that the statistics for BGA games are not graduate-level in nature or calculation is irrelevant to the usefulness of those statistics. Anyone with a basic understanding of statistics and computational techniques can analyze statistics for a game to search for correlations and then further analyze to check the nature of said correlations.
Good luck with your search !

As you are familiar with statistics you obviously know that one crucial part of each study is to clean the data before you start analyzing it.
So, in the case of BGA one has to carefully separate the games where all players tried their best to win the game from those where at least one player was making clearly suboptimal moves --- otherwise the correlation between strategy and outcome will be spoiled.

It might be (from your point of view that the statistics are all-important) better if BGA would suggest any player to concede the moment it detects a bad move, or, easier to implement, ask each player how he evaluates his own play. If he thinks he has made mistakes no statistics should be calculated as these would be biased.

Well, it really makes no difference whether you believe me when I say I gain useful information from those stats.
But since you're convinced you know how to play this game well, Maybe you can explain how I ascended to top 5 Elo and top 3 Arena?

That's fine if you want to have an opinion about the game Earth.
You're wrong, to whatever extent an opinion can be wrong. Nothing in your statement about the game makes any sense at all. The number of cards and interactions in the game is irrelevant to the fact that there exist very strong correlations between some specific stats and winning.

Given my status as one of tb best players at the game "Earth", I would say my "search" has indeed gone well.

You haven't even inquired as to how I use any of those stats. You're making broad statements about a game you know little about and (if I recall correctly) said you are not good at.

I said the statistics are valuable. I never said they are "all important".

Your final sentence makes no sense. The statics themselves help indicate whether one player is playing well or playing poorly.

oh, sorry, am I supposed to pretend I am not one of the best players at a game in which I am top 5 in Arena and overall? While listening to nonsense spouted by someone who has no resume at the game and yet seems to think he or she knows which information is important and which is not??

Especially in response to a snarky and quite possibly trolling remark of, "good luck with your search", when I obviously have already success with the "search" ???

Seriously ????

Come on, let's be serious here, can we?

I feel the same. If BGA didn't deny us seeing the final scores/stats at the point the game was conceded then it wouldn't be a problem.

I just had a game of Carcasssone H&G where I would've accepted them conceding when I drew the logboat a 5-6 tiles from the end and thus definitively won the game as there was no way for them to catch up. But no, they continued playing until the last turn, waited for their clock to run a bit and then finally conceded. I called them out on it and they claimed conceding "saved time" LOL sure it does when you run your clock out. I just wanted to see what my really good field I fought hard for ended up amounting to in points.
