TEXAS HOLD’EM: Deal Me In!

Post by BalGAmor »

Imagine you are in a casino, drink of your choice to your right and sunglasses on to hide any emotions… The dealer is about to give you your first cards, and the tension is high… You got it, this is Texas Hold’em on BGA.

This variant of poker gained popularity in the early 2000s, thanks to, among other things, a James Bond movie. You know the one… And you are most likely familiar with terms like Flop, Call, Raise, River, All In, etc. So let’s revisit some basics of this now classic game.

You are dealt 2 cards at the beginning of each round. Your goal is to combine these cards with the 5 from the Community pile, available to all the players, and create a final hand with 5 cards with the greatest possible value.

You place bets at several points during a round; however, please note that there is no money involved in this game of Texas Hold’em on BGA. At the end of the round, the player with the best hand, or the last one remaining, wins the pot.

Whether you aim to go all in with a Royal Flush or you are just bluffing, Texas Hold’em is sure to bring you the thrill that will keep you on the edge of your seat, high stakes strategy and unforgettable moments. Go ahead and try the tutorial or join a table right away: https://boardgamearena.com/gamepanel?game=texasholdem

We would like to thank Crazyboog who brought this classic to Board Game Arena.

This is the first release of the year, and we want to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2026.
Until next time, take care and play fair...

This one has been on the site for ages. Not sure what’s new about it? There’s plenty of better places to play this sort of game, it’s not why I come to bga at least.

I love Holdem, but this is a very poor interface for the game. Stick with Zynga Poker.

Poker without real money is not Poker at all. Betting without any real consequences is not the same game... Does not make sense to play it here.

Isn't it interesting that every other game on BGA has no "real consequences" and yet we all love to play them anyway? Even the ones that have bidding, betting and bluffing!
