Here's a particularly egregious bug: The pot is awarded to the wrong player!

In poker, a straight flush is supposed to beat a non-straight flush!

If it is possible for the pot to be awarded to the wrong player in any circumstance no matter how rare, this needs to go back to alpha.

Game text uses "he/she" instead of the singular "they" like most other BGG games. Maybe a translation thing. Should be changed for the sake of grammar/conformity.

Regarding the image BGA is using to illustrate Texas Hold'em, which I've seen on BGA's home page as well as the first post of this thread and https://boardgamearena.com/news?id=1021 — the game being played in the photograph is not Texas Hold'em. You wouldn't have a box marked "ANTE" printed on the felt of a Hold'em table. The dealer is shown with both hands extended, fingertips touching the face-up cards on the table, but in Hold'em, the dealer always holds the deck in one hand. The uncropped photo can be found here: https://www.pexels.com/photo/casino-dea ... s-7594309/ — the felt is designed for a casino house game similar to Caribbean Stud Poker, not Texas Hold'em.

Just add this to the pile of many other reasons this is not ready for prime time.

Is there any example of a game that was blatantly broken (a straight flush losing to anything other than another straight flush is flat out BROKEN), where the dev was MIA and BGA pulled the game? If so, how did they (I'm assuming players pushed for it) make that happen? Or is this an example of something remaining on the shelf forever once it's put on the shelf?

can you comment on whether this is being looked at. Putting all the nanny state stuff aside, the game itself is broken.

Disappointed to see Texas Hold'em added to the BGA lineup.
There are so many other places to play poker, its a "no thanks" for me.
