Please improve the dreaded login process

Post by dimexi »

Okay, so I may be exaggerating the problem here, but I raised this a while ago, and now the process is even more long winded. It now takes a total of11 separate mouse button presses just to get to the page where I can select a game to play.

1. click on BGA bookmark
2. click the log in button
3. click on the box for username
4. select my saved username
5. click next
6. click the login button (using saved password)
7. click Let’s play!
8. click Stay connected or Dismiss
9. select to accept or reject cookies.
10. Click Play Now

Surely the site owners can simplify this process. I know this might seem a bit petty, but it is not very efficient or user friendly. Please can you look it this – This Time!!!

For me, it is:
1. Write "b" in the address bar
2. Press down arrow once or twice to select the lobby url
3. Press enter

My point is: I stay logged in, I don't know how often I have to actually log in again, maybe once or twice a year?

I understand your pain. I don’t know what changed, but I used to never have to log in because I never logged out. I would just open the page and I could go straight to the games page. For the last few weeks, every time I open the page, it makes me log in. Luckily I have all the details saved on my iPad, because otherwise I wouldn’t know how to log in. Why was this changed? Not a good change IMO.
