Convincing official

Post by Savancosinus »

Hi !
I've got an issue during my first game... But I don't know if its a misunderstanding of the rules, an incorrect use of the interface or a bug.

I've got convincing official into play, and there's a patrol on a Wreckage. Can I use the convincing official to move a patrol 1 square, then go back to the starting square (and destroy the patrol) ?

As long as you can draw a valid path (i.e. not through a sandbar or going against a strong current), yes, that's a valid move.

Watching the replay, I suspect that it was an interface issue. I'm guessing that you were trying to move the patrol one space at a time instead of choosing the end point? In this case, you should have been able to select the patrol, then select the same space as its destination. The interface should then move it out one and back in, as long as there's a valid path (which there is).

(Edit: It also might be a rules issue. You can move a patrol either one or two spaces, then you can move a second patrol either one or two spaces. Here, it looks like you may have thought that you had two moves to "spend", moving a patrol once, then once again. That would normally still work, although it'd be a waste of a second move, but the strong current pulled you away after the first move.)

That's it.I thought you had to move square by square, but you only have to select the destination.

Thx a lot for the reply ! :D
