Slipstream ?

Quick question on slip streaming .. playing a game with my friend, we can't get it to work.

First question: Does it function in basic ruleset ? or is it only usable in the advanced ruleset ?

Advanced rules only. Both cars must be in fourth gear or higher. The rear must car must end its move in the space directly behind the front car, and must be the same gear or higher gear than the front car.

right .. we understood the rest .. it's all outlined in the rules pdf .. just wasn't 100% sure about the BGA basic/adv settings .. and if slipstream was allowed in basic.
