Have alpha approvals halted?

Post by Kayvon »

We submitted a game for alpha three weeks ago today (Dec 18) and haven't heard anything back.

Has BGA stopped approving alpha games? A while back they said they would batch them up to approve once per week, but even our previous game took well over a week before we heard anything, so it's not just a holiday delay.

I´ve noticed it as well that there were nog new alpha releases for the last weeks.
I also thought it was due to holdiays but now I just hope they are working on a structural change instead of just stopping it.

Hopefully they start again soon!

Do you allow BGA people to be sick during winter time ?

It feels more passive-aggressive than an actual question, but in case it's actually a sincere question: When someone is sick for three weeks, usually someone else fills in or, at a minimum, sends an email. We have a very anxious publisher and no news to give them.

I can both "allow" someone to be sick at any point and expect some basic level of communication. I really hope we hear somethng soon, maybe an announcement.

Why are you making this public?

Why am I publicly asking about the alpha process in the forum intended to help developers coordinate and communicate? I gave you the benefit of the doubt earlier, but now I see I was just being trolled. Well played, sir. My fault for falling for it.

I’m just wondering why this was posted here rather than on the dev-only Discord.

Suddenly, 26 days later, we're alpha approved!

Hopefully everything is sorted out for other developers, too.
