Arena Season 24: New Year, New Horizons!

Thank you for your feedback. It has now been updated and changes to Arena 24 added.

Without linking to the exact new post, it's very difficult to actually find where last season's changes end and the current season begins. And this is with only 2 seasons being represented there. If you continue to use the same thread every season this is going to become unreadable. Please see if you can either, 1- continue to post changes in the season announcement instead. 2- link to the specific post. 3- collapse previous season posts so only 1 line is visible and you need to click if you want to expand.

All previous seasons before 22 had the changes as the 1st post within the season announcement, just mentioning since you started after this change.

I just came here to ask the same thing. Each season I am curious as to how I finished in the previous. I'd love to keep track for myself.

There's a small graphics rendering bug that showed up a few seasons ago in how season rankings are displayed. Example: https://boardgamearena.com/halloffame?g ... &season=24

Basically, player icons are being rendered on top of the HTML element that includes the rank text. For anyone that's in Elite, it doesn't matter, because the Elite icon includes the rank, but for anyone below elite, all you can see is at most part of the left edge of the HTML element.

The specific HTML element that's mostly obscured is:

<div class="rank hof-ranking-rank-text">16th</div>

How this should be fixed depends on where you want that text to show. Probably the simplest would be to put that element _after_ everything else in the row (that is, to the right of the league icon, e.g., <div class="myarena_league league_5">) but you could also shift the leftmost elements in that row over somewhat.

(You could also just disable rendering for, or remove, that element entirely, but it's nice to show the rank for people that aren't in Elite.)

If there's a better place to report this sort of bug, happy to repost this elsewhere.

There is a link at the bottom of every page that says “Report a bug”. That would be a better place than here, which is a discussion forum with no guarantee anybody employed by BGA would ever see this.

Please can someone confirm what time (and time zone) today the season ends? I'm struggling to find it anywhere. I know it's somewhere around lunchtime but trying to work out if it's worth starting one last game.

edit: It appears to be 1pm UK time (BST = GMT+1) going by when i couldn't open arena anymore.

On any game page whose arena you’ve entered, if you hover over the end date, it’ll tell you it ends in about 11 minutes from when I’m writing this. The new arena season should start around four hours later.

Thanks, I just went to try that and it's now blocked out of opening the arena area so I'll have to try next time.
