How are we configuring our cars for arena play?

Post by dantheman83 »

Love to see the active arena play! The introduction of weather and car customization added some interesting wrinkles to the game - I'd be interested in hearing how people are setting up their cars. Here's mine:

7 Tire
3 Brakes and Gears
2 Each on Motor, Body, and road handling.
1 saved for technical pit

Soft tire, unless it is raining, then rain tires.

My general strategy is to pit if I lose a Motor or Body point and replace the lost point. But, even so, this feels like living dangerously, and I crashed out (body points) in my last game.

Thoughts? How are you setting up your car?

It really depends on the track, it's hard to have the same settings for all the tracks.
Most of the time, Soft tires are better than hards. I like to fill up tires when it's raining (9-10) but even with sun I rarely stick to only 7. I like overshooting.
3-4 brakes.
Then, most importantly, if you know the track you know how much you are downshifting. Some tracks just need 2 gearbox wps, so you go for a safe 3. Sometimes I choose 4.
Always 2 body since it's just three cars on track, 3 engine but I go for 2 if raining, just 1 handling. I never crash for those damage markers, so just avoid if there's any, because it's easy that there will never be one on track.
No repairs, and for me, usually, not even pit
