Any chance of getting Cities or Leaders expansions?

Love 7 Wonders in-person, recently started playing on BGA too, shocked neither of this expansions are online. Any word on them being added? Thanks!

It has been discussed extensively in the forum already. I think there's a small chance in the near future (I wouldn't have said so a year ago), because they allowed "compatible wonderS" with an s, to be played in the base game. So far, it's only Carthage. Other ones planned? I could also think of Bysantium from Cities, now that I'm thinking about it (diplomacy token not being mandatory to use its power). We'll see...

To be honest, from a competitive point of view, it's not a big deal. Leaders (especially leaders), Cities, Armada are extremely random, so only fun in a casual setting at home.

Edifice, on the other end, is excellent. Especially at 3 players. And it's there, which I'm thankful for. Enjoy at least this one

There is Always a chance.

Many people, after years of asking about expansions, had compeletely lost any hope before the edifice was announced. One of the reasons i believe it took time, is the extra work maintaining the game and all of the options and versions. Old version was not quite compatible with the expansions, so, they decided to drop it from further development. With that solved, road is paved for new expansions. But one of the main issues is maintaining the competitive viability of the game. As said, many options that add random chance are generally bad for competitive game and 7 wonders is very popular in competitive game. That being said, there will be a lot of discussion and other stuff. Anything new added should not make anything existing notably worse. It might also have questions about licensing and game Interface. Edifice is already very bloated even on a pc screen and to see all the information, in more than 5 players game the text is barely readable. So there many things to consider and take into account, it is not a simple yes or no decision.

I'm honestly surprised that Edifice came before Leaders or Cities. (I also dislike Edifice vs Babel Projects from 1st Ed, but that's a separate discussion)

Ah well, more official options for 7 wonders is never a bad thing, IMO

would love to see cities, leaders or armada too. not everyone wants to play high elo, a lot of people just want to have fun with friends. i would pay for it too, no problem.
