Thanks for the quick reply and explanation. I guess I'd pressed the bell icon by mistake then, since I didn't get a chance to use the card.
Maybe the iconography could be improved, like a red diagonal line over the bell if you press it, to make it clearer that it turns off the "alarm".

True, but on the other hand, I wonder if players might be confused that a red diagonal line over the bell indicates clicking it would turn off the alert.

We really need a system in place to remove alpha testers who are just joining games and not making any moves.

Here is an example of a player who currently has 14 games going, and hasn't made moves in half of them. He plays a few until something triggers him to stop playing, and it completely ruins the experience for everyone else.

I understand, but game developers do not have the ability to remove alpha access for players who are currently in games.

I also had a bad experience with this player, so the best thing you can do is to put a 👎🏻 in his profile so you won’t be playing with him anymore. Waiting for beta, cuz it might help with avoiding such players (quits will ruin his reputation)

Yeah the thing about this player is that he is for some reason is utterly convinced that you cant have secret deals or discuss things privately (like DMs) per the rules, even though I can't find anything like that in the rules. So when people don't play like that, he quits.

In general, secretly discussing with players via DMs was against BGA rules, I thought, though maybe I'm wrong. You can imagine how unfair it would be in a partner card game if you secretly tell your partner your cards.

The FFG intended playstyle on BGA is open table discussion only, which is why everything in deal text is public. Only card identities are hidden.

If you ever want to play TI4 in friendly mode and make secret deals, all players need to agree to this up front.

Lastly, a reminder, this is an alpha state. Players are still testing things. Players wanting specific competitive play styles or a table of secret agreements should probably wait until beta.

Thank you very much for your patience. A new update has been deployed with some changes for X-1 behavior.

First, the bug has been fixed where secondary players wouldn't see the X-1 available message ahead of time. Now you can accept X-1 while you plan ahead for your normal secondary TRADE turn.

Second, X-1 etc. has been split into a second button to clarify that you are not spending a strategy command token. Technically because of the wording on the TRADE primary, you are still "using" the secondary ability. However, 2 buttons should make it obvious that you can decide to accept an offer, or use the normal secondary ability without any changes.

What will the game look like over the table talk , how will it be possible to communicate with someone, will there be any options to choose from? I'm curious what the solution is.

I agree. Games automatically end after about a month and a half. But that's too long. Even voting to end the game early is pointless with certain people. I believe this attitude goes against the concept of testing. If you don't want to test the system/game, but you're only there to win or be a nuisance, avoid it. I don't think there's any reason to report someone who behaves this way, but I don't think it's fair or respectful either. I'd love to find a solution. Because the example you gave isn't the only one.
