Same question. Which cards are banned please?

Not sure why wood palisades was fixed but can we ban it now. 1 wood to a point is ridiculous , especially with such a low cost to play.

The only reason any cards weren't implemented before was fiddliness of coding, basically. I decided I wanted to try to implement the remaining cards, and that project is now done (the last three are either rules disasters or too annoying for online play).

I'm obviously biased, but personally I think it's too soon to ban Wood Palisades. I agree in some games it can be very strong, but it doesn't seem obviously busted to me and in wood-tight games it seems borderline unplayable. I wouldn't personally be first-picking it over Job Contract, Cesspit or Harvest House just yet.

Here's an example of a game from today with an extremely strong table (3 players rated over 600). None of those players took it and it was eventually taken in the 6th round of the draft. That player ended up coming 3rd: https://boardgamearena.com/table?table=818883524

Interested in more opinions.

PS - I do agree that some cards are just so obviously broken they should be banned immediately. That's what we did with Small Potter's Oven.

Yeah this ard is just silly... and reads like: discard 7 wood for 7 points...

Yesterday a player kept berating me for how I played after I drafted Job Contract along with other early occs and minor improvements. He said he was going to red thumb me because every opportunity i had I would pick day laborer with my first action and start player with my second action. He kept complaining but refused to pick start player ever with his first action. To my surprise the player had a rating above 400 which shows he's a strong player. He said there were 2 in-game consequences for the way I was playing and with my draft I was able to prove both of his statements wrong and score 60 points in the game :D

Please ban Lodger. Please. It's awful.

It's going ruin at least one other players game basically every time it comes out and there is no warning.

Just out of curiosity which are those three cards that were not coded due to rules nightmare? =)

Great job on coding all the cards though. I think it's great that all exists then we get to see which might deserve a ban.

I looked at that game. It's not a good argument for palisades not being banworthty. The player in questions made suboptimal plays, stricklty worse plays, in how they arranges their farm.
They were the lowest rated player on the table by a big margin 200 elo lower. Yet if they had just oriented their pastures and fields correctly they would have gotten 2nd place despite not playing well. A big thanks to palisades then being 4 wood and 1 food for 4 points. Now it was only 3 wood 1 food for 3 points. (they would not even have needed 1 extra resource to get the extra point, just actualy played correctly).

With wood pallisades it is not so much x wood : x vp. Usually people fence in r13 &14 with a big wood stack. (There being exceptions of course in games with lots of wood, which would be a combo increaser for Palisades.) Let's say I have 6 wood when I fence normally I get a 4 vp action out of that with wood pallisades it is 5. With higher wood counts assuming I have the rightmost 2 columns for fencing available, this is the net difference: 7wood 0 extra vp. 8 wood 0 extra VP 9 wood 1 extra VP. 10 wood 0 extra. VP 11 wood 1 VP. 12 wood 1VP. 13 wood 1VP. 14 wood 2VP. 15 wood 2VP. 16 Wood 3VP. 17 wood 4VP. 18 Wood 4 VP. 19 wood 5VP. So in order to benefit more than 2 VP you will need more than 15 wood when fencing
