The worst difference is that you can’t rematch in Premium games (WHY?) and… match up time is too long.

This one is easy, non premium members cannot create tables for premium games. A rematch is the same as creating a table.

I am waiting for a player as I am writing this, and, seriously, BGA treats standard account players (like me) unfairly compared to premium players, who just pay £3 per month.

How exactly are you being treated unfairly? You still get to play boardgames for free, yes you have to wait a bit (and for some games it can be a long bit) but if everyone could create tables then why would anyone pay for premium.

You have two options. Accept the wait and be happy that its free, or get premium through purchase or collecting enough gift points to get it for free

Mate I know but I don’t have that many friends to dispense sponsored players (for like 5 and 20 gift points, 100 = 1month premium membership)!

I wasn't referring to sponsored players, although that's also an option. There are more than 1000 games available, 5 gift points per game (first win), that makes more than 4 years of free premium membership available to everyone.

Also I forgot to say that you need to be on BGA for 1 month before translating stuff. Yup I’m Russian and there are like 6 pages of untranslated stuff.

There are ways to get gift points besides translations and friend invites. Your first win in any game gives you 5. So that's roughly 5000 gift points up for grabs right there.

Because they find it easier to play games? Or are you suggesting the code is skewed in the favour of premium players?
