I've been getting an itch to play a style of game I used to play all the time, where a major part of the gameplay was moving a train or ship or spaceship around a map picking up goods at one location and delivering them somewhere else where they were in demand.
Empire Builder and the rest of the "Crayon Rails" games (Eurorails was probably my favorite) were the main examples, but Merchants of Venus had some similar mechanisms. I can't think of or find any games on BGA that have gameplay along those lines.
There are lots of train games, but most at least seem to focus on track building or other aspects over deliveries. I guess Railways of the World sort of has this with delivering the colored cubes to the matching colored cities, but it doesn't quite seem the same, with no train or ship you have to move. Starship Merchants has been in beta for quite a while, but I don't think it really has what I'm looking for either.
Am I missing anything?
