I was able to achieve Elo#1in a game where nobody has ever reached 370 Elo like in Euchre.

So... play a few games and go on a hot streak. This player won 10 out of 11, right? SO.. do it yourself. If you can't, maybe he's actually just really good at the game?

For the tournament portion I refer to this.

In fact they have only won 2 completed games. 8 of their other "victories" have from from having the most thinking time left in tournament games.

No one will ever get a cheap tournament win against me for having the most thinking time left - Because, I will always have the most thinking time left.

Hypothetically, if I see an opponent has been logging in and out and making moves in other games, but not in my game and then runs out of time, I won't grant much leeway, especially if there is no communication in the in-game chat.

If someone does this but makes moves in other turn-based games, they get zero leeway and a red thumb formerly known as a public red thumb. I know the public red thumb has not public effect anymore, but it still feels warranted.

Exactly. Agree 100%, and that's coming from someone who has forfeited maybe one player in 1600+ games.

Why do you guys expect people to make their move every time they log on? The whole point of turn based is that people can have a lot of time to think. If you want people to play immediately, that’s what real time is for.

If someone looks at a game and they can’t decide on a move they feel satisfied with, they are totally right to wait it out, maybe sleep over it and then come back when they are ready to make their move.

When I play someone, I want them to give me the best they have, so if that means taking a lot of time to play, I’m fine with that.

I understand that it can be frustrating, because we tend to be impatient and we want to know what is going to happen next. But to act like people are doing something wrong when they don't play at the times we want them to... that sounds entitled and is a misunderstanding of what turn based is about.

It's like if you played chess by correspondence with someone, and you complained that they aren't making their move the moment they receive your letter.

I have to agree with tbhp. I also usially don't make moves every time I go online. There may be several reasons for this, for example:
1) I don't want to play many games from my phone due to bad interface
2) I don't have enough time to make a move in all the games, I only make a move in some of them
3) The move may take a long time and person don't have it right know. I've had games in kingdomino where turn could take one or two hours, and 15-30 minutes is not uncommon in other games.
4) I do not know which move to do and put it off until the next day to look at the game from a new perspective
5) I just don't feel like playing this particular game.

At the same time, of course, I always do everything on time and never go into negative in turn-based games.

I have a game going right now that is excruciating. My opponent logs in a few times a day, but usually does not make a move. Didn't respond to my greeting when the game started. This player has had 3 forfeits and q14 time violations in recent games.

I have already given a red thumb because this is nonsense. If this player goes 0:01 into the red, I will instantly forfeit him, or her.

Since you've helpfully given enough information to uniquely identify this player, I'll note that she doesn't list English as a language she speaks, and is playing 25 other games at the same time. She has over 32 hours left on the 1 move/day speed you've accepted to play with. All of the forfeits were in games with 4 or 24 moves per day, of which she currently has no others going right now.

I'm similarly impatient when I'm playing, but at least BGA allows you to specify an enforced speed if that's what you are looking for. There are players on another site without enforced speeds that have over 100 games in progress. They log in many times a day, but it still takes them 2 or 3 days to play their moves. There's no sense getting angry with them since they're playing as fast as they can. But sure, by all means, red thumb them so you never have to deal with them again!
