If you go to Youtube and do a search for "No Wonders", he has many videos, including a strategy playlist. Very useful.

Ark Nova takes a while to really get into, getting to know the cards, when are their optimal time to play and when has that time passed etc. Have you looked into how many games your opponents may have played? It's perfectly OK to lose to someone with more experience, regardless of how boardgame keen you may feel.

I checked your history and your scores are fine for someone just starting out. Give it time, you'll get into it. I also recommend NoWondersTV on Youtube. That's where I started out learning.
