Whats the deal with so many players having screen names that have this common format:

Adjective-Animal-Number,Number,Number
e.g. fluffy-penguin385

I'm seeing a lot of these lately and just wondering if they are bots, and should be blocked, or if this is a standard template suggested by the site.

Hi. I am no bot. The user name euklid was already taken thus I took euklid314, for quite obvious reasons. Other players take numbers of their birth year, etc.

No need to worry about bots here on BGA.

As a "Adjective-Animal-Number,Number" myself, yes, this was suggested by the site when I made my account. I did not have any good username ideas, so it was good enough for me

Yep, when you create a new account, you get something like:

Ok cool, thanks for the clarification. For the record, I haven’t had any issues with any of these players, but lots of fishy things happen on this site.
