So after playing a ton on BGA, I think the 20 sec kick a player timer in competitive needs to go. Part of playing a game competitively is taking your turn within the allowed time.
In any other competitive sport or game when a timer hits zero game is over. Chess is a great example, you run out of time it is considered a loss. If you play in real life tournaments you also lose if you go over on turn timers. I can’t think of one competitive game where you run out of time you get a bonus 20 sec grace period that has to be confirmed 3 times for it to work. It only seems fair that if you can’t make your move within the allowed time you should get a loss.
I’m not saying penalize their reputation but just give them a loss when playing competitive. If once again because playing competitively also means playing within time limits.
