Okay, at this point, I’m done discussing this because anyone who makes this kind of absolutely absurd statement is either trolling or is suffering from mental illness and needs some help.
This is a quite useful tool when things reach this point: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/ucp.ph ... &mode=foes
Thanks for the info on this.

Sitting across from someone looking at the ceiling, looking at their watch, glum expression, bored out of their mind... And you have to keep reminding them, "Your turn." " Your turn..." so they can focus just long enough to push a piece somewhere. I just can't imagine how empty a person's life would have to be to find something like that entertaining. Maybe there's a sadistic component. Like you're amusing yourself by tormenting your opponent and rubbing their loss in their face. "See? I win." "See? I still win."
Well, this is coming from someone who said that they would prefer to be physically or financially harmed than to see someone concede in a game they are in. Not something a sound or rational mind would determine was just a normal thing most people do in life.

It’s been wild how long you and I have been going on talking with this guy.

Yeah, I think you're right about that. When someone just keeps circling back to how they're being "harmed" and how immoral that is, while not grasping how they're causing harm or how immoral that is... it could be a psychiatric issue.

I think you are making the scene look more dramatic than it would be in reality.

What would probably happen is that they'd lose interest in the game, but would have the politeness to keep making their moves. Maybe they'd check their phone while I'm thinking of my moves. No problem, as long as the game can end properly, I'm happy.

This is also common etiquette where I live. I mean, I can't recall a game with adults where anyone conceded (except for chess obviously), so it's strange to me that you seem to be making such a big deal of it.

Kids on the other hand will regularly leave games before they are over, because they don't have the discipline to keep doing an activity that is starting to bore them. I certainly remember encountering issues when I was a kid, where others would want to stop playing, and I just wouldn't have it.

I'm certainly not sadistic and would much rather others weren't negatively affected by this. In a perfect world, everyone would always happily play to the end, but unfortunately that's not the world we live in.

Ok, so what's your big "moral solution" here? Just keep endlessly repeating that you're being harmed worse, and that not playing your way is immoral, until you finally wear me down and I say, "Ok, you're right. I can see it now. You win. I'll stop conceding?"

It's very simple. You must concede, and accept that you must never concede.

That could be. I mean, I don't get why it's such a big issue in the first place. Simply staying in a game you started playing seems like default behavior to me. It can be a bit boring sometimes, but so are many things in life that we do just because they are social conventions.

You could also handle it on a case by case basis by asking people before you concede. If they are like you, then they'd just agree and you'd be done with it.

No. That couldn't "be."

You don't see why not conceding a losing game is a big issue for some people, because you're inconsiderate and you can't relate to issues that don't personally affect you.

And what if they're not like me, and they don't approve of me conceding. Then what? How does your self-serving "moral" solution handle that scenario?

Then you'd not concede and wait a few minutes. Just as if someone asked you for street directions, you'd take a minute of your time to help them out. Courtesy doesn't fly out of the window just because you are behind a computer screen. (Or does it?)

Why do I have to be the courteous one? Did your courtesy fly out the window? If you're so courteous, you could say, "Sure. I don't want to subject you to what you feel is an unpleasant experience. Go ahead and concede." Your argument is infantile. It's like, "Me, therefore not you."
