Mandatory auto select better for fast games

I think the reason all tick-boxes are unticked by default,is so that beginners have some idea what is going on.No beginners = no players eventually.

...and on top of that, it amazes me that this game has been in play so long and we're still forced to select auto stuff EVERY game. As if programming and offering players a way to just set it as their default is some sort of Herculean effort that is beyond the pale of average mortals.

I'm only at about 2500 games, though.
I can't even imagine how frustrating it would be if I was the OP, with his 9200+ games.

I couldn't care less if you own it or not. The Earth didn't need people to acknowledge it rotated around the Sun for it to be true.
I told you last time: it wasn't condescension, it was frustration. You don't get to tell other people what their intent is. And news flash: if someone appointed you the Condescension Scoring Judge, you should probably make that certification public so comments like "...and this was much milder than that" actually carry some weight.

Absent that, they're just a 3,306th post in 2,121 days. That's 1.56 posts per day. This behavior seems to suggest you live your life here.
Maybe the subtleties of conversation get harder to discern when you spend your life online. Maybe living online leads to people thinking they get to tell other people what they meant, despite the person saying otherwise. Most people IRL aren't huge fans of that, but the fact that you continue to do it...another indicator you don't spend much time in the real world. Because if you had, and you exhibited that same behavior? People..."react" to it in a way that probably would have taught you not to do it by now.
