In my experience, abundantly clear usually means to the speaker, and passive aggressive usually means that the speaker is mad at someone who didn't actually do anything wrong.

This appears be a usual case.

And besides, the worst design choice of all time is the attack effects in Ark Nova :P
That's not what "passive aggressive" means. The key words in the phrase are "passive" and "aggressive".

"Abundantly clear" is often used to mean, "This is an obvious fact that everyone should agree with." If it had some other meaning here, I misinterpreted. The tone and context made me think it meant something different in this context.

Perhaps I should have included a tongue in cheek emoji.

No, your post was fine. I should have picked up on the non-serious nature of your post.
:)

I'm sleep deprived and dealing with some heavy life stuff. My apologies; I feel rather sheepish at the moment.
Usually, I would have seen the humor and gotten a good chuckle out of it.

All good. :)

TBF,I can see where the 2-moves-a-turn people are coming from, though. On what is probably the last round of a tournament game, now.About four turns in,and none of the other three players have spent more than a tiny fraction of their money. If people played like that face-to face,no one else would play with them.Great game, but that is a weakness in the design.

Slow rolling my plan is one of the benefits of playing several blue cards. I paid for the privilege, no one can tell me not to do it.

And, people do play with me.

I didn't say people wouldn't play with you online - it's perfectly acceptable there/here. I was pointing out that the game design works better face-to-face,because people [mostly] won't play like that face-to-face,for fear of annoying other people. That particular aspect of it becomes boring/annoying online in turnbased games -especially towards the end..Agreed - that tactic wouldn't have worked for me in the current round, because I had fewer cards and was going first anyway.

We one-action IRL on the regular. As someone said, I paid for the privilege so let me use it. It does not really cost more time - just in the fantasy of some people. I mean, yeah, admittedly, it is 2 extra clicks, which may add like 3 minutes total to the time played over the course of the entire game.

The folks I play with IRL are very competitive, efficient, min maxing gamers. We all prefer to play our best, most optimal strategic plays versus say house ruling 'always two actions' to appease someone's sense of 'wasted time'. Everyone can enjoy playing their games as they please; in our circle - we play optimally to maximize our score (you know, within the rules... no one cheats, becomes physically violent, etc. etc. ). We have played tournaments (in T Mars and other competitive games) and won some of them even, money and prizes etc.

Man I can't believe I allowed trolls to bait me into typing these keystrokes out... arguing online... is like...

Anyways, suffice it to say, the way _you_ think face to face players should play is, gasp, not how all of us think face to face players should play. Some of us, dare I opine most of us, are completely fine playing by the rules of the game.

In your opinion.

I disagree.

My regualar TFM partner and I do this all the time.

"I play [card]. CHECK."

"Check" is a poker term meaning "I take no further action".

It doesn't slow down the game at all and we're fine with it.

Our default is to do one action - and if we NEED to do a second (to claim a milestone, protect plants, whatever), we do a second.

This is a FEATURE of the game, no a flaw. In my opinion. And in the opinion of Jacob Fryxelius.
