Why can't you give up in the arena?

After the prologue, my chances of winning are close to 0, and I'm ready to admit defeat, but the platform won't let me. It tells me to play and waste my time.

Because asking people to play until 50% progress isn't that outrageous. Even if you are down, a game can change, never know what the next draft might hold.

If you really hate the game and want to get out, start SP'ing oceans. It has the highest impact on game progression per MC spent on standard projects.

You were vs Phobolog, one of the weakest corps as vitor one of the best "comeback" corps. You declined to play energy tapping, a 2 power swing gen1 is very strong. That would leade to a geng2 underground city, now you got 4 steel prod and card draw. Idk i only watched the first 2 gens but seems like there was plenty of play left, and premature to give up on the game

Forum / mod suggestion - take one of the many threads on the 50% threshold (to prevent ELO abuse) and make it a sticky so we can point people to it when someone asks like this. Thanks everyone.

The technical answer is, BGA disables conceding before 50% to prevent multi-accounters from building one account up very quickly in Elo by using a dummy account and just conceding games immediately to the other account.
