Arena suggestion: expansions for Colt Expres

Post by poniroksotiko »

Colt Express has several official expansions that significantly change and enrich the gameplay, such as Horses & Stagecoach, Marshal & Prisoners, and Ghost Train. At the moment, these expansions are not available in the Arena, and I believe that adding them would make the experience fresher and more interesting for players, especially in future seasons.

I assume, as always, it is highly dependent upon publisher licensing. Although I agree it would be fantastic, I doubt a community request would progress this epically expansive game title, into a full blown digital library.

BTW: I think there's a "Top Five Games Most Wanted" post, with the running tally of the community game desires of the week, in another forum.

"Ghost Train?" - never heard of it. - TIL: Ah yes, the Bandit character expansion. (I don't have any of them - they are hard to source these days)

I understand that it’s difficult…I’m just mentioning it in case they see it and keep it in mind. Overall, it’s a really nice game
It has several expansions, and they’re indeed hard to find in real life. At the moment I only own the base game, which I found second-hand, since it’s old and no longer in print.

Unfortunately, Colt Express has few players, so I doubt there will be enough players willing to play with specific expansions. Many play the basic version (discarding cards at the end of each round). I consider this version primitive, uninteresting, and it reduces the number of players who would support a game with proper rules.

It’s the kind of game where you basically just throw cards into a pile, but they could add something extra an expansion or some feature to enrich it. They could maybe promote it on the page so more people see it.
It really doesn’t have many people playing this specific game, and I can’t even find others to play with myself.

I love it ...both here and at the table.
Chaotic program management games are my jam ... + a Western theme makes it even better.
More content (expansions) would be excellent here on BGA.
I missed out on the iOS digital version when it was available ... that looked amazing too.
