I just watched a playthrough of the game Magical Athlete, I think it is fun and with plenty of depth and strategy, but also luck. And not too difficult to implement online! I'd like to suggest some great 2 player games. All of them require a good strategy and some time to master, but they are more rewarding than games like Agricola, for example. All of them have a beautiful presentation as well as lovingly drawn cards and game boards:

- Suna Valo: Build your steampunk farm.

- Rival Cities: Gain the upper hand by buying ships, winning lawsuits, establishing city partnerships, or being more popular than the opposing city.

- Bier Pioniere / Beer pioneers: Build your brewery by collecting ingredients, hiring figures from beer history, and fulfilling delivery contracts.


Match of the century is also nice, but maybe too much special interest, because you play the chess world championship between Spasski and Fischer (1972) - but with cards.
