New tournament summary page !!

Wow. Hip hip hooray. Somebody has taken some time to improve tournaments... I hope I dont have a stroke. I just click on the word tournament at the bottom of one of my matches. And to my amazement. The page is totally different. Much more info. Much better looking. Can find your matches easier, and more. Top notch improvement IMHO. Thank you BGA. I feel the tourney love from Bga is starting.

I was wondering if it was a bug or a misclick on my part.

The page looks totally different and very unwelcoming in my opinion (like if it was made for iphone or something). There should be an ability to switch between the two versions, or they're going to lose a lot of users.

If people were asking for improvements, they could have added this information without changing the whole interface.

I like the tabs for tournaments in progress and personal tournament history. Tournament registration seems like a downgrade though, just made it more of a hassle to sign-up.

And the removal some time ago of the ability to see current standings from the Tournament tab while you're in a game for that tournament was incredibly disappointing and annoying. I hope that gets reversed.

It looks like unnecessary embellishment. It's also unclear how to invite players to tournaments or how to view full statistics for Swiss or group stage tournaments.

Sorry... But I really don't approve of this change... I can't create tournaments any more easily... Please revert to the old version

Same problem here.
That was a very useful tool, I don't know how it will be possible to dedicate tournaments to specific players without it. The only way would be to use the chat to invite each player one by one... that's a huge stepback. I hope it's just something they forgot, and that it will be back soon...

It appears the interface has changed, but there is a few things have have been taken away:

1. We can no longer invite individuals to tournaments. We can still generate a link to a private tournament, but no ability to get someone into a public tournament without the proper elo requirement.

2. We can no longer download tournament data using excel. This is very disappointing because this is how we were able to track scores across multiple tournaments.

3. You can no longer see the Tie Breaker statistics such as "Points against" and "opponents' elo"

The welcome addition is that you are now able to see all tournaments that have ever been hosted by a single user. That means people can easily find all our current tournaments.

I haven't checked for more tournament types, but the group standings for a round robin have only the current points (that don't match with the previous system). Couldn't find tiebreakers anywhere.

The interface changed drastically. I've spotted positives, but in my opinion the negatives outweigh them.

Positives:
* Links available to other tournaments and your active game.
* Better visualization on the ruleset used as it is similar to arena's screen.
* A recap on the amount of on going matches (status bar).

Negative:
* The scoreboard is horrible now.
- You can't scroll within it anymore, you need to use the arrows to browse the list or you need to micromanage your cursor until you get a hand to drag and scroll. It'd be nice if you could scroll with your mouse scroller if you're either at the bottom of the screen or hovering over the scoreboard.
- The rank of a person doesn't appear next to the name anymore, only their points. This takes away the ability to see how well you're doing if you're in a massive swiss tournament. In the old screen you could at least easily see where you were at if you were rank 50+. Now you need to count...
