Concede a point in Backgammon!

What can I do with a player that keeps sending the offer to concede a point in a Backgammon game that I want to refuse?
The guy has donde this at least 20 times and I want to finnish give it a try in the game.
Its so disricpecful!!!

If you have the time and energy, explain why you refuse their forfeit of a single game (because you want to play on for gammon) and continue not accepting their resignation offer.

If you do not have the time or energy, either quit the game or accept their offer and play on. Afterwards red thumb them because of their unsportsmanlike conduct. You will never have to play them again.

You can always concede a complete match (via usual hamburger menu of BGA).

But we were discussing the forfeit of a single game (via white flag) in, say, a 7-point match which is played with a doubling cube. Here you can only forfeit a point if your opponent agrees. Otherwise one would always forfeit the game if a loss is certain (-1pt) and a gammon loss (-2pt) is likely.

Unfortunately, the BG implementation allows you to offer a single resignation for an infinite time - even if you know that your opponent will not accept it. This is only done to bully your opponent or to time-flag them - thus clearly a bad, toxic behavior. But unfortunately within the rule set.

As far as I remember, match progression is measured by the points of the leading player. In a 7-point match at least one player has to have 4+ points to enable conceding the match.

No guarantee that I recall that correctly...

Just let them concede the match and block them?

If the player is hellbent on wanting to concede after so many times, I don't see why you just let them have it and move on. Is it really that important that you finish the game to the complete end against randomuser12345?

I think the problem is it's a match to 7 games, and conceding the entire match is not possible until someone has 4 wins. (Not that anyone should reasonably concede when it's possible to win several games in a row).

The problem is the player in question wanted to concede the current game, and move on to the next game of the match.

Not a Backgammon player, but looking at previous posts, we're not talking conceding the outcome, but the actual score, while the overall game continues. So it's not just a speed-up concession, we're talking about someone asking for a free point.

So in other words, this "concession" isn't "can we move on", but rather "can this only be a gap of 1 point instead of 2" and then they keep playing further rounds. At least that's the understanding I'm getting from reading this post.

Ah, okay. I assumed that the OP meant the game because he said he just wanted to "finish the game." It threw me off a bit.
