I'm generally not a person to say "this new UI is awful, roll it back" but the new UI and the lack of tiebreaker data is going to make stop me playing in tournaments.
New tournament summary page !!

However, people with less than 100 Elo could only register via invitations.Rwain wrote: ↑19 February 2026, 15:46Same problem here.
That was a very useful tool, I don't know how it will be possible to dedicate tournaments to specific players without it. The only way would be to use the chat to invite each player one by one... that's a huge stepback. I hope it's just something they forgot, and that it will be back soon...
Re: New tournament summary page !!
I appreciate the idea of making the UI more visually appealing. But some of the changes are going to hurt tournaments more than helping them:
1. Each entry on the list of tournaments is way too large. At 100% zoom, you can only see 5.5 tournaments. We used to be able to see at least 10. This makes browsing tournaments feel overwhelming, and significantly less readable. The tournament titles are absolutely massive, while the actual relevant information (player count, date) has been made even smaller than before. The timescale is also no longer visible, which may be the most critical piece of information to determine whether you want to join. The two names of the tournament are the least important piece of information to anyone joining, yet it completely dominates the screen. This was a really bad change. The date, timescale, and player count need to be more prominent in the list entries.
2. The "filter by game" has been moved to the "Game Library" drop-down, but the "search by name" remains prominent. The problem is that the "search by name" is almost never useful, especially not to the average player.
But the "filter by game" is very useful for finding the tournaments you want. It'd be a lot better if the "search by name" was replaced by the "filter by game" text box as the most visible filtering tool, perhaps in addition to the drop-down menu. It's not clear upon first glance that you can even filter by game, as "Game Library" is a bit confusing and unclear.
3. Can no longer invite players to tournaments. If tournaments are given a more prominent placement on game pages, this could be mitigated (right now they're at the very bottom of those pages). But this may end up totally cratering participation for any niche game, it was already difficult to find 10 people for a tournament for any game not in the "Popular" section.
The biggest issue is definitely the text size of the information presented, and how few tournaments are visible on the screen. It is both overwhelming and confusing, and the specific titles of tournaments -do not matter- to anyone as much as the date and player count.

I can't find the invite option either and am in the middle of inviting (because of the 50 limit). Is it really gone? Also, the timing tool seems to be wrong because my tournaments will be over in 20 days, but the display says it will take 4 months. Is there a BGA summary anywhere informing of the why's of the changes?Rwain wrote: ↑19 February 2026, 15:46Same problem here.

From a quick look, it seems like a much more confusing way to present the exact same information (and for some elements - less information)

Re: New tournament summary page !!
The link to the tournament in the Current Tables is gone now - which was a really convenient was of linking to the tournament page.
There are so many more clicks to see Stage 2 of a tournament bracket, and when you get to the bracket, the window is tiny and needs so much more scrolling.
This is a massive downgrade in usability.

Dang. I guess my excitement has been derailed. I dont make tourneys yet. So I did not realize how bad the change is from them. And I had just woken up. Saw. New. With some decent additions. Did not realize they have taken away a lot. Please revert back Bga. Are you listening Balgarmor. Please help
Re: Additions and Problems with the new format
How did you used to be able to do this?!wsbgofficial wrote: ↑19 February 2026, 15:51 2. We can no longer download tournament data using excel. This is very disappointing because this is how we were able to track scores across multiple tournaments.

Re: New tournament summary page !!
I just sent this to my current tournaments - which are all for "non-popular" games. With invites, I can get over 100 players easily. Without them, they are lucky to get 15.
"Hi all. BGA has chosen to remove the invite function for tournaments so my next tournament may well be my last. Non-popular games like this need invites for tournaments to get more than a few players. But since it was removed in mid-invite, I want you to know about my latest/last tournament: "
Don't need to post part 2 here.
The only option now is sending a chat, but we are only supposed to chat with friends and I'm not friending a few hundred people. BGA, why shoot yourself in the foot like this?
