Atm I just add all the "games I'd like to try" to my favorites, clogging up that list. It's far too big. There are just too many games on BGA for a simple single favorites listing. I'd love to have a "like to try" list separate from my favs. Or separate favorites lists, like for heavy games, fillers etc. It'd reduce scrolling significantly on mobile devices.
This functionality already exists, though it is not the most intuitive to find. Next to the “Add to favorites” button is a little “+” button. Clicking that brings up a pop up, and at the bottom of said pop up is a link to create new lists. Once you’ve created other lists, they work like tags; i.e., a single game can be added to more than one list.

I use it very similarly to what you described: I have a list for games I want to try, for those I have played and not won yet, those I own a physical copy for, etc.

Once you’ve created other lists, they show up as tabs at the top of the “Games” page.

I don't think you'll be able to do that anymore with the changes if they don't hit minimum ELO of 100 - even the organiser needs to be at minimum of ELO 100 to take part!

Is it possible to filter tournament by "Games you're eligible for" rather than just "Games you know"? e.g. I don't really want to know about tournaments for games where I am <100 elo and I've only played once.

I cannot create tournaments anymore - I only get 413 errors after saving draft or publishing and all fields are completed correctly?

I was sad because of the Tournament UI change before. Now I have read BGA's response ( https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... &start=100 ). and I am very disappointed.

First, rollouts always have issues. Got that. And there will be people who are unhappy because they were used to the old way as was noted in the response. Got that too. This is not that.

Personally, I think the aesthetics are not great in the new scheme - important things are hidden, things I don't care about are prioritized, and the recommendations algorithm borders on just funny. But I'm getting older and someday I'll appreciate the big text I guess. I'm sure some people like the new UI and I'd get used to it. That classifies as people liking the old way arguably and I would have said nothing if that was all it is.

But what many people are talking about here is not that. This is a UI that BGA knew in advance had significant known issues, and it had beta tested with users of higher status than I and had gotten the playability feedback as well as the bugs. The decision was to put it up anyway.

I currently have 3 Round Robin tournaments for ~200 people that are supposed to start tonight, but I wasn't able to finish inviting the players because of the UI change. And when the tournaments open, players won't be able to see how they are doing because there is no usable scoreboard for round-robin tournaments to let people know their status. So, I will cancel the 3 tournaments before they open and let the players know why. And these are for "non-popular" games where someone has to put work into getting a good sized tournament. With invites gone and a new alternative apparently a vague possibility someday given the message, I won't be able to do that anymore.

I have also withdrawn from all of the tournaments that I am currently signed up for, and I will be canceling my premium subscription. We shouldn't have to put up with a known crappy UI for no reason except that BGA chose to leave bad elements in it when releasing it.

Very Disappointed, but not just because I yearn for the way it used to be....

I've noticed a lot of issues on the player side:

- To see the rankings, you have to scroll to the bottom of the page;
- I don't understand the point of "suggested tournament," especially since it suggests a tournament for a game I don't have an ELO of 100 for, so I can't participate.
- Everything is so big and laid out that it seems random.
- The filters give the impression that they're not giving all the results.
- The "tournamentlist" page already contains basic tournament information. Why do you have to open a new page in a new tab when just adding the "register" button would have been enough?
- Why is the default "games I know" when logically it should be "games I've reached the ELO rating for to participate in tournaments"?

A few points:

To the person who created the display that shows up when you go to a specific tournament page: if you think that you are good at creating a user-friendly UI, you are not. The old system showed the players, standings, and tournament progress in clean displays. The new system needs improvement, as others have detailed. For example, the current "Tournament State" display is a downgrade from the old display, since it shows less of the tournament than the old one did. A good UI makes the functions users want to use usable, and has displays that are easy to navigate.

When going to the Tournament page from the "Play" pull-down menu for a specific games, don't have a "recommendation" for a Tournament that is not for the game selected prominently displayed. When I go to the tournament page for a specific game, I just want to know which tournaments FOR THAT GAME are available to sign up for, which ones are in progress, and which ones are completed. This part of the new system at least seems to work, although I liked the old system better. Having to make an extra click to see the filterable tournament page is not good. Just have the first page shown after selecting "Tournaments" from the "Play" pull-down menu simply be the filterable tournament page. Having to make an extra click to see the filterable tournament page is not good. Also, I would suggest that the default display show tournaments available to sign up for, as I would assume that what most people who go to that display are looking for.

Bring the invite function back SOON. It is a great way to get players to play in Tournaments, and to get new Tournament series started.

Whatever problems existed in the Tournament space before, did BGA ask players or tournament organizers what they thought of their proposed changes? I have created hundreds of tournaments and was blindsided with these changes. I had no problems with the previous system.

If the goal was to make tournaments easier for mobile users, please realize that this has come at the expense of PC users. Many games and information displays on BGA are not really easily played or displayed on small screens. The previous system's display of a tournament's progress worked well on a PC. That amount of information is never going to be as easily displayed on a mobile device. Making the PC display terrible for a small improvement in the display on a mobile device is a bad trade-off.
