Garage upgrade cards

Post by bobv »

In the garage cards you can select "all", "basic only", or "advanced only" is there a list somewhere of which ones count as basic and which count as advanced?

If you look at the image of all upgrade cards, you will see the basic upgrades before the first heat card, then come the advanced ones. After the second heat card shown come the expansion upgrades.

Basically, most advanced upgrades have two effects, while the basic ones only have one. Basic ones also only have a selection of simple effects (select speed, cooldown, extra heat, slipstream boost, reduce stress), while more complex effects are only seen on the advanced ones (accelerate, adjust speed limit, direct play, refresh, salvage, scrap).

On the bottom of a card you sometimes can see a gear/cog icon.
Without are the basic upgrades, with are the advanced upgrades.

If you play without any upgrades, then you play with the beginners upgrades (the 0, 5 and heat).
