Are they gonna fix Catan at some point?

I paid the subscription in order to play Catan, but honestly it's impossible. I admit my karma takes a dunk when I quit because dual-accouting nerds, but everytime I try to up my karma, I end up getting bugged out of a game and getting -20 again. I'm tired of the game getting stuck in the winning turn, or in the interaction between taking my actions and other people rushing the red button to kick me.

Just right now I was on a 9 VP game, ready to win. I play the first third knight on the game, rob a guy, all while some wanker is rushing the red button trying to expel me while I'm obviously playing. When I'm ready to roll the dice, the "roll dice" button get's stuck and loops the 3 seconds thing again and again, with a red banner saying "unable to take that action right now". I press F5 and by the time it reloads, I was already kicked and -20ed again.

A quick glance at the Catan bug reports shows almost 200 pages of them. Is BGA gonna fix the game at some point or should I just migrate to another site?

For what it's worth, I can tell you that the official site is full of Friendly Robber fascists. If you go there instead, be prepared to have your game ruined by team play whenever possible, if you rob anyone before 3pts. There is no FR setting, and nobody will ASK if you want to play FR, but nevertheless they will expect you to play FR -- OR ELSE. You can pay $5 to unlock each expansion, and the people playing the expansions generally aren't like that.

It's important to understand that BGA staff didn't develop the game. A volunteer or freelancer did. BGA runs the site and volunteers maintain the games. Ehhh… I feel compelled to point out that one of the developers behind Catan here, lordalx, is, in fact, BGA staff, though they were probably not acting as BGA staff when they did it (that is, they probably did it as a volunteer or paid by the publisher rather than doing it under the official auspices of being staff).

But 99% of the time, what you said is true.

Bugs are annoying, yeah. You could try playing only real time slow, or turn based.
