If it is a public tournament, you don't have to invite anyone with Elo 100 or above. You do have to invite people below that.

If you are referring to this one: https://boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=513566 This is a public tournament. Everyone with at least 100 Elo points can enter. What do you mean by "doesn't work"?

As a software engineer, I can tell you that “it doesn’t work” is almost never a helpful description of a problem.

As others have pointed out, you are not giving enough information. You can't post questions as if everyone you are writing to was sitting on your shoulder watching everything happen. If we were sitting on your shoulder, then "it doesn't work" might convey more meaning.

But we weren't sitting on your shoulder, so all we know is that you expected a first something to happen and that first something didn't happen and a second something happened instead. You need to tell us 1) what you expected to happen, 2) what you did that you thought would cause that to happen, and 3) what happened instead.

A video would be awesome, screenshots helpful, but at a minimum use your words.

Bonjour,

When someone is skipped in a tournament game, the remaining players are judged by which one has the oldest account. Since you had the newest account, you were the next one to be eliminated.

If no one is skipped, but the maximum duration is reached before the game ends, then remaining clock time is used to decide which players are eliminated.

I couldn't see this in the FAQ, but where can I see what is the tie break for a given tournament when two or more people are tied for tournament points?

Unfortunately the FAQ thread is incomplete. You can find your info here: https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=47591
There are a few threads where Mathew5000 posted their real nice summary about ties, I just took it from there.

Hello!

I organized a tournament with ELO restriction today and had 2 players over that ELO. I wonder if the choice we make to restrict ELO is more for an indication? Or is it supposed to naturally keep only players with the right ELO?

Thanks for your answer!
