Tournaments needs its own heading or tab at the top with - play now, news, games, then Tournaments, community, forums. That would help a lot. But invites are in dire need, more than anything at this moment.

I'd love to be able to do a Formula De season as tournament. This would be easy if you had the option for no players to be eliminated in a round. M<any tournaments are based on points score not elimination so a good option for any game. Also, the option to choose different tracks for each round. This would be a useful feature for any game that uses different game boards.

A full Formula De season would be great! Would love to try something like that: it could still be done with a dedicated set of players and individual games. Sure, there would be a lot more work for everyone, and you'd have to track points and rankings on a spreadsheet — but it would still be faster than waiting for the BGA powers that be to deign to respond to any request.

I decided to give this a chance, play through a couple tournaments to see if the changes grew on me, if I'd missed some advantages. I didn't find any.

Other than "mobile-friendly," what was the point of all this? Was it actually driven by any feature list - and more importantly, did the designer inventory the EXISTING features, layout, and give conscious thought to each change they made, to be sure it was a net positive? For example, is there a conscious REASON for getting rid of the invite functionality? It's hard to imagine there was, and you SHOULD have had some kind of server statistics to tell you it was a regularly used feature. This is Software Design 101 stuff.

It's interesting to see how tournament registration statistics have changed with the new interface; I find it so annoying that I've stopped registering for new tournaments.

Yes, adding more voices to this. It takes way more scrolling and clicks just to see if it's a tournament I want to register for that I have stopped even looking at tournaments.

I agree with others that this might be sloppy AI, but either way no one bothered to check what it looked like before or what it was able to do before and had never played or registered for a tournament.

I don't like the new list of available tournaments at all... It takes twice that time to pick and enter the ones I want .

My gripes with changes for tournaments:

Setting up new tournaments has become harder.

There is limitation that prevents tournament from having starting time less than an hour in future. I can see this being ok for public tournaments, but this shouldn't be a thing for private tournaments (which I need, because there is not enough options to set up tournament the way I want, so I set up a bunch of 1v1 private tournaments as we progress through the tournament that I have to manage outside BGA).

Tournament results list, while maybe more usable on mobile, has become a lot less usable and informative on computer screen.

When I saw this message I thought, Oh great! I’ll finally be able to understand the different set ups for the tournament—like Swiss and Round Robin. No such luck.
