Is it possible to double the base tiles for the game?

I just started to play board games on this site. One of the things I love to do with the real life version of the game is to place with two or more base games to have a longer game with more tiles. Is this possible?

I don't believe that's an official variant, and BGA doesn't allow house rules not explicitly endorsed by the publishers/designers/rights owners.

You can play with extension, tiles only, which would give you a similar result, although it also introduces new types of tiles.
