Please Roll back to the old Tournament System

While the new tournament page looks snazzy, it is in all meaningful ways worse that what we had before. You can't invite people to the tournament. You can't scroll down the list of participants using the middle mouse button. It is more difficult to search for tournaments and get the results in a useful order. I kind of wonder if the person who made or approved the changes had any significant experience in setting up tournaments.

I recently set up a Wingspan tournament for up to 10 people. Normally, they fill up fast, but so far it is just me and one other person.

It is such a pain in the neck that I probably won't be setting up many more tournaments until the system is fixed.

Ok guys, let's try to be constructive. In case you don't know: They are working on a follow-up to the invite system, at least that's what they said.

How is it more difficult? You have the same search options you had before. How did you get it in a useful order before? The order was always a bit a wild and I couldn't understand. To me it feels like the order is very similar to before. Of course it would have been good to introduce a sorting mechanism, it bedazzles me that they haven't done that when they do such a big update anyway. But when we just compare before and after, I don't get why these two things - tournament search and useful order - are worse than before?

Which bugs are still annoying you, what exaclty "is so bad"? Some important ones have been already resolved. I don't think the tournament creation is worse, if anything got better, it is the tournament creation. Some buttons are hard to find, they are hidden at the very bottom, that's an annoyance. But I don't feel "it's so bad". Why do you?

Tournament filtering options do not work correctly,

The tournament creation options are spread out with too much whitespace.

In the old tournament system, the tournament creation options were linear on the page top to bottom, click one at a time.

In the new tournament system, the tournament creation options are spread out over multiple columns, with lots of whitespace between each option. I have to scroll around a bunch to find all the options, rather than it being presented linearly in one screen. Further, the same option is not in the same place on the screen! They jump around from one column to the other, depending on type of tournament.

No we dont know. How do you know. There has been nothing said for weeks. Much less about a new invite system. Do you have inside knowledge?? Why are you siding with them. The update is horrible. 300 posts. 95% say horrible. And yet. Someone all of a sudden thinks it is ok.

The only things I see as arguable improvements in the new tournament creation process is that there is more detailed information about the progress of the tournament and an option to open the tournament to join as soon as possible. Both those options could have been offered without a compete redesign of the interface. Also, the more detailed information is unnecessarily hard to access because scrolling with the middle mouse button scrolls the whole screen not just the information. And I know you can grab and drag the information to scroll it that way but it is more awkward. I will admit that if this last item were the only problem I would never have complained.

Paranoia isn’t a good look. Not agreeing with you doesn’t mean somebody is “siding with them”, nor does it mean they are some sort of plant.

Because they said so. That was 2 weeks ago.. None of us players that dont spend 24hrs a dag reading ugs reports will know. Again. None of us have heard anything for over 2 weeks. So far I see zero major fixes to invites. I see near zero improvement on many other issues. So from my end. And from what I see in 31 pages on this thread. Most players agree with me. That the update is horrible. It has ruined tourney life for many of us. I play 1 10th of what I used too. And that not much has been fixed and not much word from anybody., read these 31 pages of really upset players. And you tell me again, things are going smoothly and bugs are being fixed. Where, when, how. And since you know so much. When will the tourney scene be back to having players. The obscure games are toast.
