Puerto Rico question

In Puerto Rico if you have a warf card how do you pick a ship or warf when you need to?

During captain phase you just click where you want to ship your goods and thats it;)

You ship normally,ship as much as you can until there are no further opportunities to ship,and then the system should ask you whether you want to use your wharf.So then you click on your wharf to show you want to use it,and the system will ask you which type of good you want to ship.So then you click on the type of good you want to ship in your stock of goods,and the system will ship all of it.
