Determining the winner in case of a draw.

Post by Renedekart87 »

Hello, does anyone know how the player who goes on in the tournament with the "Olympic" system is determined if there was a draw?
I used to think that the player with the lower Elo goes on, but according to the link, the result of the game where the player with the higher Elo went on in the tournament.

Some people say that the winner is determined randomly.
But I think there should be additional parameters that determine the winner. :!:

I don’t understand why it is not yet written in the FAQ...

And also why there is no Tournament chapter in the FAQ

Thanks for the answer.
also found on the forum:
Multiplayer elimination: If one or more (but not all) of the tied players can advance, then the lowest player-id number(s) will determine who advances. (The "seniority rule" or "oldest account advances".)
Single elimination: Who advances is presumed to be a coinflip (random equal-probability selection between the two tied players
