Today I lost two Wingspan games due to the same weird bug that I discovered today. I was not able to collect food and had to waste a turn collecting it again. In both cases, it was a very close game that I could have won if I'd had that extra turn. I don't see any "report game" feature on the end game page. How do I contact support or a mod?
How do you get your ELO points back if you lost because of a bug?

By winning again.
Sorry, you won't get elo "back". Karma penalties are cancelled in the event of a system-wide bug or outage, I don't think they are for game bug. But elo is never restored, because: 1. Losing elo is not a penalty, it's just a result of playing and losing. Yes, bugs happen, but BGA won't micro-manage those cases. 2. Restoring your elo would mean also restoring the other player's elo. How do you think they'd react if they suddenly lose some elo for no reason? And what if they played another game after and lost? The winner of that other game should also have their elo reduced because they actually beat someone who should have had lower elo?
The best you can do is shrug it off and move on (and report the bug in https://boardgamearena.com/bugs?game=1635).

To make it a little easier for you to shrug it of: You played more than 1000 Wingspan games already and you probably continue to play a bunch of them.
Your Elo depends mostly on your latest 50 to 100 games with much higher importance of more recent games. Even though you got an unfortunate loss right now, it will not matter much after the next few dozen games you finish, and continue to matter less and less.

That's not correct. In case of system-wide server issues, I have seen the ELO change modified to 0 for the side who was kicked out of the game for plenty of games. This was only for the party kicked, whoever else got positive ELO in the same game got to keep it.

What was the bug? Can we see it in the game replay? Did you post a bug report?kaduzy wrote: ↑09 February 2026, 20:15 Today I lost two Wingspan games due to the same weird bug that I discovered today. As mentioned above, if it was due to some issue on our behalf, you'll get your ELO back.
If you feel it is a bug in-game, you can create a report here: https://boardgamearena.com/bugs

What is worse is if it happens during a tournament game. While the site can give you back your elo, it can't change a tournament result, so you'd potentially be eliminated because of a bug.
This is like the equivalent of football when the referee makes an obvious mistake and a team loses because of it. Everyone can see that it's wrong, but we can't go back on the decision after it has been made.

They would not be losing it "for no reason" and their reaction is none of my concern.Jellby wrote: ↑09 February 2026, 20:24 By winning again.

Some weird bug where I tried to change a bird from automatic action to not-automatic in the middle of getting food. I was denied a chance to get food at all and had to waste my next turn getting it. In an action economy game like WS, every turn matters, so it killed my game in both cases.FrankJones wrote: ↑10 February 2026, 17:42What was the bug? Can we see it in the game replay?
