Yikes, this new UI is really bad.

The main mandatory changes are

What do you mean by mandatory? You were forced to make these changes?

- no extended right side to fit player mat, so you instead have two options now : a floating container in the bottom-left (default on destkop), or just below the boards (default on mobile)

This is indeed the worst change as others have said. I previously could play scythe without having to scroll at all. I had everything on the same screen. Now I have to page down once or twice to see my board. The floating board doesn't even show the upgrade options. And before I had my board right below my inventory, now they aren't in the same place.

Please think about reverting this change. If not, Scythe will be the only game I can't play all on the same screen. And as others have said, a bad UI like this will push players away.

Yes, "mandatory" means I was forced to make these changes. BGA enforces some guidelines on us game developpers so I must comply.
The upgrade options was a temporary bug that is already fixed.
Why do you need to scroll to see your board ?
About having information in two different places, I asked in my reply if adding resources counters and other counters on top of the floating mat would solve this issue or not ?

I've checked again and notice the initial zoom was completely bugged on desktop devices, that's probably what you were talking about, very sorry about that. I've deployed a quick fix that was the intended initial display of UI, please let me know if you still encounter buggy behavior now.
I will work my way on other feedbacks now.

Yeah indeed - the scrolling / zooming whatever we wanna call it bug is OK for me now, at least it's possible to see and navigate all areas of the map now <3

Another thing I realised is that before the update - for upgrades - the small boxes that you can change (from top action area to bottom action area) would move a bit out of the way so that one could see what's beneath, now the buttons covering these areas are stuck and won't move anymore...

Thank you for the quick fix on the scrolling/zooming - now it's literally a game-changer

New version deployed fixing the following issues :
- 127210 : "Show combat dial" is not working
- 179022 : Tie breaker not followed
- 131377 : End of game scoring showed incorrect popularity
- 139560 : Cannot decline combat cards after losing a combat
- 133748 : As Polania, the game did not let me leave resources on lake with my character
- 150990 : You can overpay costs by clicking too fast
- 159466 : End game scoring showed blank after game
- 142208 : Could still validate an objective after 6th star got placed
- 133143 : Pop up translation when visiting factory or triggering encounter not implemented in French
- 183880 : KenSamuel forces enemy workers to retreat and lost
- adding warning messages when clicking on pass of a doable action

The celular version was very hard to play. I think it's better now, but player's pannel may be fullsize, above others players pannel.
At PC version, the player's action board is too small. It could be larger, float or custom resizable.

I hope more people realise you can voice concerns and still be polite. But in truth the update has made this game very difficult for tablet or phone users. My player mat, both the popularity and power tracker and the star mat are cut off on the edges. I didn’t even realise my opponent had 5 stars already cause the edge one wasn’t visible. I thought it cost less resources for some moves only to find that it wasn’t it was just cut off. And then the other big problem is now everything has moved you have to move back and forth from the play mat and trackers to the board and are unable to see the majority of what you need on the screen at the same time which was a pain. I’m sure some things are probably improved but visually this has made this harder to play on tablets and phones unfortunately.

Thanks for the feedback, the map was indeed cropped at small height on tablet, I will fix that for sure.
UI on a tablet is not great but it wasnt great on the previous UI as well with the right column taking 50% of the screen width. I dont know what could be made specifically for these sizes to make it better.

Can you elaborate ? Which part is not fullsize currently ?
I do agree that custom size player panel is good suggestion, it might also helps on tablet to have a smaller version of them to not take too much space.

Hi! Now that the bug has been fixed, the game is much more usable and I’m starting to appreciate the new UI. There are two things I’d like to see changed or corrected:

• UI Glitch: The small floating action panel in the bottom-left corner disappears when building a mech; I can only see its yellow border.
  Ultrawide Support: On a widescreen monitor, information is split between the bottom-left and top-right. Would it be possible to make the floating action panel movable?

Hi ! Thanks for fixing the bug with power and popularity tracks.
The action mat was still invisible at first, but appeared when I deployed my first mech. table 822673935
Once it appeared, I found really annoying having my action mat cover the bottom left of the board.

Today I had a game on my smartphone and I really enjoyed the new UI there ! On the phone the board takes all the screen and scrolling to see each player mats is fast. It makes it much easier to anticipate others turn. I would find it more confortable than with my PC if not the difficulty to chat.

On wide screen, have you consider to put other players faction and action mat on the left of the screen while our own is just under the board ?

Seems to be enough space there and it would be consistent with the real board game, where the mats are all around the board.
