Clunky Finish

Post by Da Pyrate »

The end of the game is clunky, where each player manually claims each remaining tile. It would be better if, at the end, players could claim their tiles simultaneously or, better yet, it was just calculated automatically.

The end of the game is tedious and spoils what is, otherwise, an excellent game.

It's so annoying, and it's so error prone because you try to click faster than the UI can accept. I would rate this implementation 2/5 stars.

I also notice that the movement of the penguins themselves is a bit wonky. Instead of gliding smoothly to wherever you have selected, the penguin seems to get displaced to the left(?) and then move. It makes the clean up step particularly disorienting to watch.

Maybe it's just me but in asynchrone games I have trouble detecting which penguin my opponent just moved. Isn't there some sort of colorized hint possible to indicate this last move?

The penguin that made the last move show its back. Can not see where it moved from afaik.

For example, click on the all tiles to indicate the path, and put moving animation only at the end, when the penguin is blocked.
