Black arrows on guesses

The game colors the sending and receiving coordinates with the color of light that they're associated with. In some games it also puts little black arrows above the coordinates. I've only noticed this games with the diamond expansion. What are these arrows supposed to be signifying?

I think it's a new update (love this function BTW).

Anyway, if I understood your question correctly, the black arrows mean that the signal comes back from the same coordinate

That makes more sense. I started noticing it when adding in the expansion but that was just coincidental timing. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes! I suggested this back in January to reduce how often you need to refer back to the game log. I got an email 3 days ago saying it was implemented. The arrows mean the ray was reflected back to its source, i.e., it encountered a non-diagonal surface.
