More players in Arena + strategic variant

Would love it if there were more than two players in matches. Plus, I would love it even more if we used the strategic variant (3 tiles in hand) with expansions. This is how I learned the game. Just a suggestion!

Definitely opposed to having more than 2 players, as it just reduces the impact of skill on the game for all the standard reasons it does to any game where there's real interaction.

Strategic variant has always been a quirky conversation. Unpopular with the top players, maybe due to norms, though not well described in easy to see places for people.

More than two players brings some unwelcome elements into competitive play, by giving the losing player power to help decide the match.

Competitive carcassonne has a long standing history, the competitions are ran as 1v1 regular with no expansions, makes sense for arena to be this way as well. More niche versions are available to play in simple games, which I think is fine.
