The United States Memoir'44 Corps (USM44C) will be hosting our annual US Open at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, VA.
The theme this year will once again be the US Marines vs the Japanese in the Pacific Theater.
We will be following the Marines from the HBO miniseries "The Pacific." Brand new scenarios have been designed as we follow the Marines from the miniseries through 6 battles in which they would have fought.
Come fight alongside Robert Leckie, John Basilone, RV Burgin and Eugene Sledge on the islands of Guadalcanal, New Britain, Peleliu, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
For those who haven't yet participated in a tournament, please consider attending! It is such a fun way to play Memoir '44.
Every scenario will have a historical briefing about the scenario as well as the Marine highlighted in the battle. All special rules will be covered in the briefing, so all you really need is a knowledge of the base game rules.
We will play Swiss rounds, with the first round being a random draw. All subsequent rounds you will be paired with someone of your approximate skill (or luck) level.
Fun will be had by all, guaranteed!
If two days of Memoir isn't enough, we will also be hosting a massive newly designed 4 map scenario "Tarawa." This will take place on the afternoon of August 21, the Friday before the tournament. It's a great opportunity to check out the museum in the morning, then warm up for the tournament in the afternoon!
Look for registrations to begin in April. In the meantime check out the UM44C here:
