In fact, it uses the SAME FONT as NIDAVELLIR

But I read the rules, and the rules are NOTHING like NIDAVELLIR

To further add CONFUSION, the designer, artist, and publisher are all the SAME AS NIDAVELLIR

This is MISLEADING to fans of NIDAVELLIR

How is that fraud? It's obviously a different game, and it should have different rules from Nidavellir. And the rules are available for all to see.

I don't understand why it should be a fraud. It clearly states that the game takes place in the kingsdom of Nidavellir and is played by the merchants there, which means it is a different game but uses the background of Nidavellir as setting.
There are many games that do this, like Stonespire architects and The Cartograph are part of the Roll Player setting but completely different games.

I can understand that you are disappointed that the game isn't that much fun for you as Nidavellir is but it never states to be the same game. If you don't like Trök the keep playing Nidevellir and have fun.

Atlantis was a myth that was not part of a major religion, I believe.

As a Norwegian, I came to this thread hoping it would point out that this game has, in fact, not been played by the dwarves of Nidavellir for thousands of years.

More seriously, I would actually like to see more game themes using/abusing Christian, Jewish, Muslim and Hindu mythologies and not just the Norse, Greek and Roman ones. Just to have some variation.

The multitheistic religions are obviously much richer in lore than monotheistic ones, but I personally think it's because "dead" religions are safer to "play with" than "active" ones. So here's to publishers taking some more risks and get controversial best sellers, like book publishers do all the time. That might also strengthen the perception of board games as an art form and not only a consumer product.

Dead religions are more fruitful settings than active ones because it allows you to take liberties that you could not with active religions.

Some people take their faith seriously, and whether you agree with that or not, it doesn’t make sense to draw the wrong kind of attention to your game. I don’t think that’s difficult to understand.

There are COUNTLESS series of games that are in the same series that play completely different.

As others have alluded to, Nidavellir is a mythological kingdom, so this is like complaining that the latest Middle-Earth themed game is different from one of the many earlier ones. It's also not the same font - this one is imitating runes, whereas the font used for the game "Nidavellir" looks more like the script that replaced runes to write Old Norse (basically the Roman alphabet with some extra letters).
