Bga couldnt post a # of how many ganes are required to be a guru because the guru system isn’t consistent and they don’t even know lol. Some games don’t even have 100 gurus despite more than 100 ppl playing in them so it isnt the top 100. There also isnt some min requirement because in some games Ive become guru after one play and others that didn’t have a full guru list Ive played more than 70x in a short span and didn’t make the guru list.

The link says it considers your games in the past 30 days, so I would guess you'd need at minimum 10 games a day, so 300 in total. Maybe twice that amount if people are really grinding that game.

I agree that the selection seems wonky from an outside perspective. I guess they want to keep secrecy to remain consistent with the whole "guru" theme, but that makes it really annoying for the rest of us who have no idea what sort of amount they should be aiming for.

I ping in and out of Obsession on the basis of a game a day. It is totally different for every game and honestly even an vague number from 3 months ago would be more than enough to provide a marker.

"At the end of the last season our lowest playing guru for <This Game> played 90 games in 30 days."

That's all. Not a live track, not a list of all the names, not even how close I am. Just a figure to give me a vague idea, that I could become a guru for the game if I wanted to, or it's way out of reach because there are over 100 really committed players.
