I was playing on the simulator and realized that you can't buy materials from the Alexandria wonder or from the yellow cards that give materials. I wanted to know if this is a bug in the game or a rule, because when I play the physical game, I assume you can buy them. Does anyone know if you can or can't?

You can't. It says in the rulebook about the yellow but not sure if it does about Alexandria, but it is not buyable from for sure

The fact that you cannot buy wonder stage resources or yellow resources is a key strategy element in this game. Because this is true, it is possible that some people have access to certain resources while others do not, even with money. Experiment around it and you will see some interesting games happening.

That was a key element of Alexandria play. Before it got nerfed to hell that is. You could get your wonder stages and have access to all resources while burying resources and starving your neighbours. Someone thought that is too strong and gave the B side the worst wonder stages in game.

Just making the 2nd stage of Alexandria night cost 2 ore would be such a simple fix. Might not be the ideal fix but I think it would make Alex more balanced.

And for Alex day side, maybe 2 ore for first stage and 2 stone or 2 timber for the second stage?
