Unfairness of dice

I am continually getting bad dice while my opponents get an H at least one in three throws. I get the works symbol frequently sometimes three at once in my first throw. Thus has never happened to an opponent

I also feel like the dice aren't completely random and there's some kind of algo behind them

Seriously though, the variability of the rolls does serve a purpose, it ensures that there is always a reason to keep on playing, and whether you are far ahead or behind when building, it is always worth it to optimise your construction, as the game could still end up being close.
